THE PRACTICE

Her style is neo-tribal. Bold, black, graphic pieces that shape the body as if they were always meant to be there. She draws from classic tribal, mixes it with Pacific influences, and runs it through her own filter. Sometimes minimalist, sometimes more aggressive, sometimes industrial—but always intentional, never ornamental.

She tattoos to mark, to transform, to adorn. Each piece is born from a dialogue with the person who will wear it—but she knows the direction. If something doesn’t work, she says so. She’s not here to sell a dream—she’s here to make the tattoo work.

THE VISION

What she’s drawn to are big projects—pieces with presence. Backs, torsos, body suits. Tattoos that clothe and empower. She’s obsessed with symmetry, the way black ages, and the balance between shape and body.

Every session is a give and take. People arrive one way and leave another. There’s something physical, yes—but also mental. A good tattoo shifts your posture, your energy. It’s almost like putting on armor.

Muchacha Navaja works in Madrid, in her private studio La Morena—a discreet space focused on large-scale work in a warm, intentional environment. She also travels regularly to Berlin, where she collaborates with Blut und Eisen, a studio she respects and where she continues to grow her practice with freedom.

LA PRÁCTICA

Su estilo es neo-tribal. Piezas negras, contundentes, gráficas, que le dan forma al cuerpo como si siempre hubieran estado ahí. Coge lo que le interesa del tribal clásico, lo mezcla con influencias del Pacífico y lo pasa por su propio filtro. A veces minimalista, a veces más agresivo, a veces más industrial pero siempre con intención y sin adorno innecesario.

Tatúa para marcar, para transformar y decorar. Cada pieza nace del diálogo con quien se la va a poner, pero ella tiene claro el rumbo. Si algo no cuadra, lo dice. Lo suyo no es vender la moto, es hacer que el tatuaje funcione.

LA VISIÓN

Lo que le interesa son los proyectos grandes, con presencia. Espaldas, torsos, body suits. Tatuajes que visten y refuerzan. Le obsesiona la simetría, el envejecimiento del negro, el equilibrio entre forma y cuerpo.

Cada sesión es un toma y daca. La gente llega de una manera y se va de otra. Hay algo físico, sí, pero también mental. Un buen tatuaje te cambia la postura, la energía. Es casi como ponerse una armadura.

Muchacha Navaja trabaja en Madrid, en su estudio privado La Morena, un sitio discreto, donde se tatúa en un entorno acogedor y enfocado a hacer trabajos de gran escala. También viaja regularmente a Berlín, donde colabora con Blut und Eisen, un estudio que respeta y donde puede seguir desarrollando su trabajo con libertad.

Who the hell tattoos here?

Muchacha Navaja hizo su primer tatuaje en 2009, pero no fue hasta 2018 cuando decidió profesionalizarse. Entre medias estudió Bellas Artes en la universidad y se formó en diseño gráfico, campo en el que trabajó durante un tiempo.
También mantuvo un interés constante por la ilustración y la serigrafía, desarrollando su práctica de forma multidisciplinar.

Muchacha Navaja did her first tattoo in 2009, but it wasn’t until 2018 that she decided to pursue it professionally. In the meantime, she studied Fine Arts at university and trained in graphic design, a field she worked in for a while.
She also maintained a strong interest in illustration and screen printing, developing her practice in a multidisciplinary way.
